This set contains 100 icons designed for use in iPhone Toolbar button items. Toolbar button icons present a unique design challenge because of the vertical height constraints of the button shape. Toolbar button icons will typically fit within a 20 pixel square. While it is possible to use icons designed for the Tab Bar in button items, Tab Bar icons are intended to fit a 30 pixel square and will look outsized within a button.
The icons in this set are provided as PNG image files with alpha transparency. Be sure to download and save the reference guide PDF, which displays each icon alongside it's file name to help you easily navigate the icon collection within your file system.
Ready for Interface Builder
When the icons are placed into a Bar Button Item in Interface Builder, the icon will display as white with a beveled edge. The coloration effect is produced by the iPhone SDK, which helps to maintain a consistent look across iPhone apps. The PNG icon files themselves have been colored black so that they may be easily distinguished in the Mac OS X Finder.
